  • Plumber is here yet again.  ARGHHHHHHH!  I'm going crazy.  I know it is not a long journey for me to reach the land of craziness... but I'm getting closer to it by the minute.

  • It has been quite some time since I have been on xanga.  I probably wouldn't be on right now if it weren't for the fact that I am sitting at home waiting for a call back on our hot water heater that seems to be broken.  Actually we have one hot water heater that has water pouring out of it and two broken toilets.  I'd say it is time for a plumber to come

One child is at cross country practice and the two younger ones just left to walk up to the store.  I'm flabergasted that they are old enough to walk a mile to the store, cross a main road and actually go in and pay for something they want to buy... all without mom.  When did they grow up?

I am drinking a really bad cup of coffee too!  Just thought it was important for EVERYONE to know that one!

It just occurred to me that it is quiet in this house.  On that note, I'm getting off of the computer now and going to grab a book to read while I have the peace to do it.

  • I've been in the office since about 6:15am.... almost 5 hours already.  I have so much to get done that I am actually to the point where I cannot accomplish anything else because I don't know where to start.   Way too many piles!

  • Lazy Day

This has been a horrendous week.  I worked many long hours and found myself both physically and emotionally exhausted by the time Thursday evening came around.

Today I slept in.  I woke up at 10:00am.  I NEVER sleep that late.  I think I would have slept longer but someone pulled all of the blankets off of me and I was absolutely freezing.

It is 2:20 pm now and I still haven't gotten out of my pajamas, showered or even brushed my teeth (yuck)!  I watched tennis this morning for 2 hours.  I know nothing about tennis, but I do know that Venus William won today.

I also finished up Katie's track scrapbook while watching mindless television programs.

Katie, Jim and I just finished watching a show about the messiest house in America.  Katie kept saying, "See Mom, our house isn't THAT bad!"

Well, the show inspired me to go shower and possibly clean my own house a bit.  I'm definitely in the mood to get rid of clutter after seeing the heaps of junk that other family had in their home.  It is  probably going to be quite the day for the family!

I've gotta give God praise for those lazy days He sometimes gives me.

  • It's been a good week... it flew by though.

This seemed to be a major "sports" week in our house.  After the CAVS blew it and the Pistons became my "fav" team from the east (I hate Boston even more than Detroit), I got some much needed rest because I wasn't up watching sports on tv half the night.

I went to Em's softball game this week.  She was awesome.  She pitched three terrific innings and had a couple of really nice hits.   She just threw strike after strike... amazing!

Next came Katie.   Last Saturday she won her conference meet for the 800 meter race.  She ran a personal best of 2:16.76!  For those that don't know... that is a great time for the 1/2 mile.  She had the best time in all three divisions of the conference!

Districts were this week.  She placed second out of thirty three in the district which means she moves on to the regional meet next week.  Only the top four in each race moved on.  She actually moved on in all three of her events.  If she places in the top four next week in her races she will then move on to the state meet.  Way to go Katie!

Jimmy had baseball this morning.  WHAT A GAME!  His team won it five to four.  It was one of those nail biters.  Jimmy actually ended up walking in one of the late innings.  His team-mates managed to get him home and that ended up being the winning run.  Hurray for my little man!  (He also had a role in a class play this week... he was wonderful).
